Facia Decompression … Block Therapy Workshops with Amy June 7th,14th & 28th

Facia Decompression using Block Therapy with Amy McDaniel!

Facia Decompression:  RELEASE.... RESTORE..... RECONNECT

What you will Learn:

  • What fascia is and why it matters

  • How tension patterns develop

  • Why stretching alone often isn’t enough

Who this Workshop is For:

  • Individuals experiencing tightness or stiffness

  • Participants looking to address chronic pain

  • Persons wanting to improve posture

  • Those seeking stress relief and recovery

  • Anyone wanting to improve mobility and movement quality

  • Those interested in assisting the body in detoxification and circulation

What is Block Therapy?:

Fascia decompression using Block Therapy is a self-care practice that uses a firm wooden block, body weight, gravity, and slow diaphragmatic breathing to apply sustained pressure to tight fascia and encourage it to relax and “open up.” The goal is to create more space in the tissue, enhance mobility, improve posture, support circulation, improve alignment, and reduce tension, stiffness, or pain.

How it works:

Fascia is the connective tissue that surrounds and supports muscles and organs, and Block Therapy’s idea is that stress, poor posture, injury, and shallow breathing can cause it to become compressed or restricted. In the practice, you lie on the block in specific positions for a few minutes at a time so the pressure and breathing can help soften adhesions and restore movement.

What it’s used for:

People use Block Therapy for posture, mobility, relaxation, and oftentimes pain relief. Supporters also say it can help circulation and breathing mechanics by encouraging the diaphragm to work more fully and the body to hold better alignment.  Individuals who practice this modality have reported experiencing relief from muscle and joint discomfort, as well as improvements in flexibility, mobility, posture, digestion and overall well-being.

What to expect:

Each session is done fully clothed on a mat, using a wooden block placed under targeted areas like the ribs, hips, abdomen, neck, or feet. It is usually described as gentle but intense in spots, because it relies on sustained pressure rather than fast movement or deep massage.  The room will NOT be heated. Please bring a full sized bath towel just in case the block is too intense for a certain spot.

Please note that we will focus on different areas of the body for each of the three sessions, so please join one or all three workshops:

June 7th: Core & Ribcage
June 14th: Pelvis & Legs
June 28th: Head, Neck & Shoulders

$30 for members per session and $35 for everyone else

No refunds, exchanges or transfers

About your Instructor:

Amy McDaniel has been involved in fitness and wellness from an early age. She has been a personal trainer for over 20 years. In working with hundreds of clients over the years, she found that almost everyone had some restriction or pain in their bodies. Typical practices of stretching, yoga, and foam rolling helped, but didn't always get to the root of the problem. She finally found the missing piece to the puzzle when she started studying fascia and applying that knowledge with her clients as a certified Block Therapy Instructor.

Positive feedback from clients and her intense passion toward helping others feel better, created a desire to teach and empower all those who are motivated to make positive changes in their bodies.
