Announcing Gavin Hudgeons as new owner of Hill Country Hot Yoga effective 8/1/26
A letter from Gavin Hudgeons:
Dear Hill Country Hot Yoga Community,
My name is Gavin Hudgeons, and I am humbled and honored to introduce myself as the new owner of Hill Country Hot Yoga effective August 1, 2026.
First, I want to say thank you to Holly and Tracey. They have built something truly meaningful here. I know many of you have practiced here for years, formed friendships here, healed here, struggled here, grown here, and made this studio part of your daily life. I respect that deeply. My first priority is to take good care of what already exists.
Some of you may already know me from practicing or teaching in the hot yoga community. I have been practicing and teaching traditional hot yoga for many years, including the 26 & 2 sequence and the broader Ghosh-lineage posture systems. I believe in disciplined practice, excellent teaching, a safe and respectful room, and the kind of community that makes people want to keep showing up.
In the near term, you should expect continuity. Classes will continue. Your memberships and class packages will continue to be honored. The current schedule will remain familiar (with a few additions) as we move through this transition.
Over time, you will begin to see some thoughtful improvements. My vision is to continue the original hot yoga foundation while gradually expanding the studio’s offerings under the Studio84 name. That will include additional class formats, workshops, posture clinics, teacher training, improved amenities, and a refreshed studio environment. Any changes will be made carefully, with respect for the community already here.
More than anything, I want this studio to be a place where people feel welcome, challenged, supported, and proud to practice. Whether you come for the heat, the discipline, the physical benefits, the mental clarity, the friendships, or simply the way you feel after class, I want Hill Country Hot Yoga / Studio84 to continue being that place for you.
I look forward to meeting each of you personally. Please introduce yourself when you see me around the studio. I want to hear what you love about this place, what you hope never changes, and where you think we can improve.
Thank you for trusting me with this next chapter. See you in the hot room!
Gavin Hudgeons
